About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Manufacturing Engineering Planner to become part of the Executive transportation Planning team in San Antonio, TX. The selected candidate will lead and support in development, implementation and maintenance of various manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Candidate will assist in the identification of tooling requirements and processing tooling orders based on manufacturing and engineering requirements. Team member will be responsible for assisting in the investigation and resolution of manufacturing related issues. May also be responsible for collecting data to support producibility assessments for part or product designs. The successful candidate will assist in developing work statements and sequencing of limited scope with internal business partners and in the review, maintenance and monitoring of internal documents. Team member will work under close supervision. Position Responsibilities: Develops, implements, and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues that come up during manufacturing activities Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigating alternative solutions to meet producibility requirement. Create installation planning and supporting installation planning shipside in San Antonio. Support team performance by participating in process/tool improvement projects. Work under a lead to support timely delivery of engineering release and manufacturing deliverables. May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, to support business needs and deadlines. This position will be 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ of related work experience
  • 3+ years’ experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing support
  • 3+ years’ experience applying professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
