About The Position

Korn Ferry has partnered with an elite CT law firm in a search for a Mid-Level M&A Corporate Associate. This associate will represent prominent private equity clients and multinational clients in mergers and acquisitions transactions. This role will be in a hybrid work environment in its CT (Fairfield County) office and is commutable by Metro-North. The firm's office is across the street from the train station. Many Big Law refugees have joined this firm since it values a work-life balance culture, with lower billable requirements, while still representing sophisticated clients and transactions. The firm has a very reputable M&A practice with noteworthy Partners.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of general corporate transactional experience
• Admitted to NY state bar or any state bar
• Graduated from a top law school

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad roster of clients ranging from private equity firms and their portfolio companies to multi-national corporations
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents (e.g., merger, equity purchase, and asset purchase agreements, letters of intent and term sheets) and equity and governance documents (e.g., shareholders agreements, limited liability company agreements, limited partnership agreements, equity incentive plans and equity award agreements)

Benefits

• $210K-$315K base salary, depending on JD year status, plus a bonus
