About the position

CGI has an immediate need for a Mid-level IT project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years! Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the performance projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities
  • Manages project through the design, implementation and testing phases in accordance with project objectives
  • Uses internal program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies
  • Produces status reports, conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in managing projects similar in scope and complexity to the project requirement
  • Progressive IT experience and 3-5 years of PM experience
  • Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft Project)
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Ability to resolve technical issues
  • Ability to manage, coordinate and guide a project team
  • Strong issue resolution and risk management skills
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Experience in application development (4-5 years)
  • Experience supporting a scrum team
  • Experience with JIRA
