Mid-level IT project Manager

About the position

CGI has an immediate need for a Mid-level IT project Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest leaders in the secondary mortgage industry. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies. This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines
• Directs and supervises all support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities
• Manages project through the design, implementation and testing phases in accordance with project objectives
• Uses internal program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies
• Produces status reports, conducts status meetings and facilitates issue resolution and risk management sessions

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability in managing projects similar in scope and complexity to the project requirement
• Progressive IT experience and 3-5 years of PM experience
• Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft Project)
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Ability to resolve technical issues
• Ability to manage, coordinate and guide a project team
• Strong issue resolution and risk management skills
• Experience with project management methodologies
• Experience in application development (4-5 years)
• Experience supporting a scrum team
• Experience with JIRA
