About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to serve as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in Fairborn, OH. This role is the sole assigned security focal for the site, responsible for conducting internal security controls, compliance assessment reviews, and self-inspections to ensure adherence to government and company regulations. The FSO will also identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, manage visitor control, and support COMSEC and Information Systems Security functions. The position involves protecting sensitive information through an Operational Security program, security education, procedures, and physical controls, as well as assisting with security clearances and conducting security awareness training.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Industrial Security
  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
  • Experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO)
  • Experience with NISP programs
  • Experience communicating with varying levels of stakeholders working team to senior and executive leadership
  • Experience using Microsoft suite

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective action
  • Ensure meetings are held in accordance with contractual and company standards, to include visitor control, assigning temp badges, access control and escorting when required
  • Conduct Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Assist Communication Security (COMSEC) custodian when required
  • Protect government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
  • Support program management in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements
  • Conduct security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Perform Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
  • Serve as the onsite support for the Information Systems Security Manager/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSM/ISSO) to complete equipment reviews, inventory, audit support and data reviews as required
  • Participate, as requested, in enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams
  • Work with limited oversight
  • Communicate with program leadership and security management to ensure operations are not impacted
