About The Position

We are seeking a Mid- Level Engineer with approximately 8+ years of experience and a range of knowledge and practice with remediation, environmental engineering design, construction and OM&M to work as a field engineer on a large scale remediation system. Preferred candidates will have experience working on complex treatment system projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 
  • Approximately 8+ years of related experience
  • Experience with field implementation of complex water treatment projects
  • Experience and knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization and remedial techniques and technologies
  • Experience with managing/supporting large-scale and complex environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes, free-phase product, etc.
  • Experience with cost estimating and bid preparation including technical proposal writing
  • Experience with implementing pilot tests, engineering principles of design, installation and construction
  • Experience with OM&M of remediation systems, treatment processes, and optimization
  • Experience with environmental compliance and/or permitting (NPDES, Air Quality, SPCC, E&S Controls)
  • Ability to support project teams with excellent internal as well as excellent external client and regulatory communication skills
  • Considers health and safety (H&S) a core value in their everyday professional and personal life 
  • Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills and possess a high degree of initiative and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional engineering (PE) license (CA) a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support project teams with complex remedial evaluation, engineering design, management and execution of field work, reporting, and client communications
  • Lead and/or support client and bid proposal efforts as well as other life-cycle and order of magnitude costing efforts
  • Assist clients and project teams across various industries with environmental compliance and/or permitting 
  • Review plans, specifications, and technical reports prepared by junior level staff
  • Mentor and coach junior level staff on complex remediation activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal engineering manager
  • Role may include Project Manager responsibilities depending on the candidate
