About The Position

Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a mid-level structural engineer to join our Structural Engineering Group in our Avon, Colorado office. This engineer will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of project types with many different structural materials. This position will provide opportunities to gain experience in both new building structural design and existing building investigations and retrofits. A typical work week can include drawing development, project coordination, engineering calculations, Construction Administration tasks, and site visits. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, and contractors as you build relationships throughout the project life cycle. While many of our projects are located in the Rocky Mountain region, Martin/Martin’s national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country. Requirements

  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • BS plus a minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year)
  • Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects
  • Completed a minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer and 6 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year

  • Demonstrates willingness to take on additional work and responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and contractors as primary point of contact throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage and collaborate with engineering and technician staff to produce high-quality project documentation using computer design and graphics software programs.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff regarding career development, design techniques, software, and code questions.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through project work and business development activities.
