About The Position

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level Cyber Engineer to support our Huntsvillle, AL location. The candidate will serve as a Cyber Engineer (Mid-Level) within a PAE Fires, Project Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategy and policy, with a specific focus on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and international partner engagements. The Cyber Engineer will provide critical support to the program’s Technical Manager, Director of International Programs, and Chief Engineer by analyzing and interpreting cyber policies, ensuring alignment with both U.S. and international partner security requirements. The candidate will assist in preparing cybersecurity reports, policy recommendations, and briefings for management and stakeholders, and will work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve program goals. The candidate will be required to interface with internal PMs across PAE Fires and external organizations—including Army Futures Command, Cross-Functional Teams, HQDA, ASA(ALT), ATEC, and AMCOM—to coordinate and synchronize layered air defense technical and programmatic objectives in the context of international agreements and FMS cases.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity policy, strategy, or a related field. Additional education may be substituted for years of experience.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, particularly within defense or aerospace environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industry and U.S. Government cybersecurity standards and policy frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST).
  • Proven ability to analyze policy, develop recommendations, and support continuous improvement strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance with Top Secret / SCI eligibility is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Top Secret/ SCI preferred.
  • Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes and Technology Security and Foreign Disclosure (TSFD) requirements.
  • Experience working with international partners on security or technology programs.
  • Relevant DCWF Defense Cyber Workforce Qualification(s) at the (Basic to Intermediate) level for: 641 (ISSM) 631, (IT Project Manager), 541 (Vulnerability Assessment Analyst)

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and strategies aligned with U.S. DoD directives, international standards, and FMS case requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret cybersecurity policies, regulations, and release requirements from partner nations to ensure program compliance.
  • Review and assess cybersecurity controls and solutions for mission systems, ensuring they meet the specific needs of FMS and international programs.
  • Assist in evaluating the impact of evolving cyber threats on international partner systems and recommend appropriate policy and strategy adjustments.
  • Prepare and present analyses, findings, and policy recommendations on cybersecurity matters to PMO management, team members, and stakeholder organizations.
  • Engage with foreign disclosure officers and technology security directorates to navigate the complexities of sharing cyber-related information with international partners.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and coordination activities that support cybersecurity objectives for FMS and cooperative defense programs.
  • Use digital tools and methodologies to manage cost, schedule, and performance for assigned cybersecurity policy and strategy activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager, Director of International Programs, or Chief Engineer.
