The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level CMCS Electronic System Design and Analysis Engineer to join the BGS Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) team in either Hazelwood or Berkeley, Missouri. This role involves supporting multiple critical programs by developing maintenance equipment, including connections between equipment and aircraft subsystems, network infrastructure, and computing hardware. The engineer will work in a team environment to develop, test, and repair hardware designs for the CMCS system, ensuring that all phases of platform/weapon development and sustainment lifecycle are supported. Responsibilities include hardware/software integration, design and documentation of electrical systems, and performing tests and validations to ensure compliance with operational and functional requirements.

  • Hardware/software integration support

  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design including electrical systems and subsystems design, interface cable design, electrical hardware/software integration, and general test experience
  • Experience or knowledge of VPX/VME form factor
  • Experience or knowledge of RS422/RS232, PC104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, and MIL-STD-1553 communication standards
  • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons)
  • Experience with product/systems development and integration
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance
  • Experience or knowledge of cyber security principles or cyber certifications
  • Experience or knowledge of network design
  • Experience or knowledge of common military standards used in hardware design and testing (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1472, etc.)
  • Experience with CAD and creating electrical schematics
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management)
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
