About The Position
As a Mid-Level Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will gain hands-on experience in one of our Auto Service centers, utilizing your mechanical aptitude to diagnose technical issues while delivering outstanding service. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the rapidly changing automotive industry. You will become familiar with essential automotive services such as brakes, alignments, and preventative maintenance, while also receiving excellent training that prepares you for future career advancement opportunities. In this position, you will be responsible for performing line technician services, conducting routine inspections and maintenance, and executing system diagnostics and problem-solving tasks. You will also be involved in brake repairs, fluid exchanges and flushes, wheel alignments, and tire installations. Excellent guest service is a key component of this role, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about guest vehicles. You will have the opportunity to guide and mentor junior automotive technicians, ensuring that all work performed is documented accurately on the repair order. Safety is paramount at Goodyear, and you will be expected to maintain strict adherence to company policies regarding vehicle care and operation. Additionally, you will be required to report any safety issues immediately to management and promote teamwork to deliver timely and accurate guest care during all operating hours. This role may involve performing a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting, particularly when handling consumer tires and wheels.
