About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Aerospace Engineer/Hypersonic Modeling & Simulation Analyst to join a growing Modeling & Simulation (M&S) team developing and refining a hypersonic weapon simulation. The aerothermal analysis building blocks are maturing, but they need to be integrated, and the data flow streamlined so we can increase throughput. Technical and personal growth opportunities abound as the team expands in size and scope to develop additional capabilities within the sim over the next several years. Get a chance to interact with multiple government agencies and contractors as the weapon system matures. Grow your knowledge of hypersonic weapon behavior and overall missile system simulation as you help develop this sim. Previous experience in hypersonics is highly desired but not required. The candidate will contribute to the development and refinement of a high-fidelity hypersonic weapon system simulation by performing data extraction, processing, and analysis of flight data to correlate and validate model performance. They will build and verify new high-fidelity models, evaluate the thermal protection system under extreme conditions, and conduct structural analyses for high-acceleration environments. The role also includes preparing technical reports and presenting analytical findings to project stakeholders to support continued model improvement and system understanding.
