About The Position

The Microsoft Systems Administrator provides technical support for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft-based systems and infrastructure. This role supports day-to-day operations for government and enterprise environments, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems according to organizational and federal standards. The Administrator operates under the guidance of senior IT personnel and works collaboratively with IT teams to deliver effective solutions for end-users. Requirements

  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in desktop support and administration, including supporting, troubleshooting, and managing workstations, monitors, VTC, and printers.
  • Three years of experience with installing software, patching software, and troubleshooting software configuration.
  • Two years of experience with printer support and maintenance.
  • Three years of experience with equipment inventory management and turn in process.
  • IAT Level II/Intermediate certification.
  • Active Top-Secret/ SCI with SBI and ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast past environment with changing priorities; adaptable to change and a quick learner.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows servers and workstations.
  • Support user account management, including creation, modification, and deactivation in Active Directory.
  • Respond to help desk tickets, troubleshooting system, login, and connectivity issues.
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and security configurations under supervision.
  • Assist in performing routine data backups and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor system performance and assist in generating reports on system health and utilization.
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and support activities.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators and technical teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
  • Support endpoint protection efforts, including antivirus updates and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and client IT security policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
