About The Position

Arcadis is seeking highly qualified individual to fill a Microsoft SharePoint Engineer position. In this role you will be leading the architecture, design, and continued development of the Engineering intranet and internal SharePoint-based tools, including the department's flagship platform, Engineering Online (EOL). Required to work 4 days per week in our client's Jersey City office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience with SharePoint Online site design, development, and architecture.
  • Proven experience developing and supporting SharePoint intranet sites, including navigation, layouts, templates, metadata, and permissions.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint Framework (SPFX), PowerShell, and SharePoint administration tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with legacy systems such as OpenText and SharePoint Designer workflows.
  • Experience working with branding, content strategy, or digital communications in an internal or intranet environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect intuitive SharePoint Online environments with effective site navigation, branding, metadata models, and permissions structure.
  • Develop and maintain intranet pages, document libraries, and tools used across the Engineering Department in SharePoint Online.
  • Implement UX/UI best practices to enhance user experience, accessibility, and visual consistency across SharePoint portals.
  • Build custom site templates, layouts, and web parts using SharePoint Framework (SPFX) and other Microsoft technologies.
  • Design and develop solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages.
  • Manage and maintain internal Engineering platforms, including the EOL (Engineering Online) SharePoint portal, ensuring content is organized and searchable.
  • Administer user access and permissions in SharePoint Online, applying role-based security and ensuring audit compliance.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of SharePoint sites, workflows, and integrated apps.
  • Support and enhance SharePoint and Office 365 solutions, including SPFX apps, PowerShell scripts, SharePoint Designer workflows, Power Apps, Power BI reports, and Infowise components.
  • Respond to and resolve technical support tickets via the Engineering Application Support Hotline.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, communications teams, and end users to gather requirements and translate them into effective SharePoint content and functionality.
  • Create technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to support adoption, maintenance, and ongoing user self-service.
