About The Position

The Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect leads the Power Platform team in designing, developing, and administering comprehensive solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot, Dataverse, and the Power Platform Admin Center. This role is responsible for solution architecture, platform administration, integration strategy, and licensing optimization. The incumbent ensures security, compliance, and governance best practices are followed, and provides technical leadership and guidance on Power Platform best practices and technology roadmap planning. This position collaborates closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to deliver modern, efficient, and scalable business solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Five (5) or more years of comprehensive Power Platform experience across development, administration, and solution architecture, required
  • Expert-level experience developing model-driven applications, including custom entities, forms, views, business rules, and security models, required
  • Advanced experience with Power Platform Admin Center, environment management, user administration, and tenant-level configuration, required
  • Advanced experience creating complex Power Automate workflows, including approval processes, data synchronization, and system integrations (Cloud Flows, Desktop Flows for RPA, AI Builder), required
  • Experience building external-facing portals and websites with Power Pages including proper authentication and data integrations, required
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, Excel), required
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other CI/CD tools, required
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Dataverse, including data modeling, relationships, security roles, and performance optimization, required
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Power Fx, JSON, and SQL, required
  • Proficiency with Azure services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, AI/ML, Cognitive Services), required
  • Knowledge of Power Platform connectors, custom APIs, Azure Logic Apps, and hybrid connectivity solutions, required
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Proficient with security roles, permissions, authentication (OAuth, Azure AD, SSO)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code best practices and governance
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration, preferred
  • Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, government, or supply chain, preferred
  • Microsoft Power Platform Certification (PL-600), preferred
  • Experience with Dataverse Web API, custom connectors, and Azure API Management, preferred
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code best practices and governance, preferred
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365, Power Virtual Agents, or Copilot AI, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Designs Power Platform solutions that align with business requirements and technical constraints
  • Manages Power Platform Admin Center configuration, environment setup, security policies, and governance frameworks
  • Leads development of complex model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Pages portals, and Power Automate workflows
  • Architects integrations between Power Platform components and external systems, including Dynamics 365, Azure services, and third-party applications
  • Analyzes and optimizes Power Platform licensing strategies to minimize costs while meeting functional requirements
  • Designs and implements application lifecycle management (ALM) processes across development, test, and production environments
  • Implements security best practices, data loss prevention policies, and compliance requirements within Power Platform solutions
  • Provides guidance on Power Platform best practices, architectural decisions, and technology roadmap planning
  • Creates and maintains architectural documentation, development standards, and governance policies
  • Collaborates closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Other duties as required
  • Assists in building the power platform application development team and oversees the quality of their work
  • Manages vendors working on application development and writes code as needed to improve the vendor’s work
