This is a full-time position with Tecknomic and the project is with the Port Authority of NY & NJ. This is a hybrid role in NY/NJ. This role closes on 8/28/2025.
Working with PA technical manager to understand and document business requirements.
Providing project plans for new implementation, developing, testing, and deploying solutions to production environment following PA processes.
Responsible for unit and system integration testing, coordinating with business users for user acceptance testing, and getting sign off from business users.
Providing maintenance, enhancements, and support of the platform, ensuring stability by resolving data issues and user help tickets in a timely manner.
Maintaining Non-prod and Prod Cognos environments, applying required patching and upgrades.
Providing system administration for installation and configurations of different components of the Cognos platform.
Logging, documenting, tracking, and resolving system problems while ensuring ongoing data integrity.
Defining the scope of periodic disaster recovery tests and coordinating with other staff and third parties.
Providing all documentation needed for continued operation and management of the system and training end users on new functionality.
Minimum 8 years of IT experience with design, development, and testing applications using various technologies, programming languages, and databases.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, C++, JSON, Python, JavaScript, SQL, etc.
Minimum 5 years of working with Microsoft Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM technologies.
Work experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment.
Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Platform technical solutions.
Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation.
Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts.
Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.
Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations.
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related fields.
Any certification in related technologies is preferred.
