About The Position

The Microsoft Power Platform & Cloud Applications Administrator designs, develops, and optimizes enterprise solutions using Microsoft 365 technologies, SharePoint Online, AI tools, and a broad ecosystem of cloud-based business applications. As the organization’s lead expert in low-code/ no-code solution design, this role plays a pivotal role in driving digital transformation, process automation, and system integration to support college-wide strategic initiatives. Operating as a cross-functional technical leader, the Cloud Applications Administrator collaborates with internal stakeholders, business units, and external vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions across both Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms. This role evaluates, vets, implements, and supports a wide range of third-party cloud applications, ensuring effective integration with existing systems. Additionally, the individual in this role will be instrumental in establishing governance and administration practices, mentoring teams, and leading the adoption of innovative technologies that align with organizational goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field and, 2+ years of post-graduate and relevant work experience in a professional office setting. In lieu of degree, minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Microsoft certifications: PL-600, PL-400, MS-600, or equivalent.
  • Expertise in IT General Controls (ITGC) and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO 27001).
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse).
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint Online, including SPFx, modern site architecture, permissions, and content management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing low-code/ no-code solutions that streamline business processes.
  • Strong background in Microsoft 365 ecosystem integration, including Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and Exchange Online.
  • Experience in Azure services, particularly Logic Apps, Functions, and Active Directory integration.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, OData, Graph API, and data connectors for system integration.
  • Ability to build data models and visual dashboards using Power BI to support data-driven decisions.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOX, ISO 27001, and IT General Controls (ITGC).
  • Proficiency in Agile and DevOps environments, including version control (e.g., Git) and CI/ CD pipelines.
  • Experience monitoring app performance and platform analytics to proactively identify issues and improve functionality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of business-critical solutions using Power Apps, AI, SharePoint and related M365 tools.
  • Guide full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for new applications, including requirement gathering, design, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with business units to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions that drive automation and efficiency.
  • Serve as the technical authority on Power Platform and Microsoft 365 capabilities, influencing platform strategy and adoption across departments.
  • Partner with Corporate IT Teams and vendors to evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies that meet both business and compliance needs.
  • Govern and enforce standards for application architecture, data integrity, security, and performance optimization across platforms.
  • Design and manage integrations between Power Platform applications and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS).
  • Provide expert-level support, training, and mentorship to team members and solution developers throughout the organization.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of models, including Center of Excellence (CoE), environment management, solution auditing, licensing, and security policies for the Power Platform.
  • Champion change management and continuous improvement initiatives, aligning technical advancements with organizational goals and user feedback.
