The Microsoft Platform Manager at Grant Thornton will oversee the development, implementation, and management of the firm's Microsoft platform, including Azure, Office 365, and Copilot. This role requires a deep technical understanding of Microsoft technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive technology strategy and execution from an enterprise perspective.

  • Lead the strategic planning, management, and deployment of applications on the Microsoft platform for the enterprise.
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of Microsoft technologies to enhance business processes and drive digital transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Manage application performance, scalability, and security to ensure optimal operation and end user satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement best practices for application management, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective solutions and services.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards for multiple products.
  • Participate in ongoing production and end user support.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in application management and development, preferably with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and apply concepts strategically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365) are highly desirable.
  • ITIL, ITSM (and/or ITOP), PMP certifications or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting complex technology initiatives from initiation to completion, preferably in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Experience in a professional services or consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives.
