About The Position

The Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert supports the Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) in safeguarding the financial system from illicit activity, counteracting money laundering and the financing of terrorism, and promoting national security through the strategic use of financial authorities and the collection, analysis, and dissemination of financial intelligence. In this role, you will be the go-to expert on technical infrastructure tasks within the FinCEN enterprise. This will encompass everything from providing strategic consulting and architectural planning to troubleshooting maintenance issues and interacting with Microsoft support staff. As one of the technical leads of the program, you will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior technical staff. This role is full-time on the client site in Tysons Corner, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of experience with a minimum of five years of experience working with Microsoft technologies.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Windows Server.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical support to MS Dynamics
  • Successful experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Familiarity with cloud migration strategies and hybrid environments
  • Good proficiency in the English Language.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Azure Stack Hub, Azure Stack HCI, CommVault backup solution, SQL Server deployment, and Exchange Server deployment.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Azure Stack Hub.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
  • Direct experience working within the FinCEN or US Treasury technical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Microsoft-related infrastructure technical inquiries and issues.
  • Provide future strategy and architectural design recommendations based on changing requirements within FinCEN and new technologies impacting infrastructure environments
  • Support cost estimates and advise on integration of new technologies
  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows Server environments.
  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients and internal teams on Microsoft technologies.
  • Interact directly with Microsoft technical support staff
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery; this includes coordination with Treasury-level technical staff.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
