About The Position

Microsoft Certified O365 Administrator will manage, maintain, and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of cloud-based collaboration and productivity services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related Microsoft 365 applications. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system administration, security, and user support.

Requirements

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
  • Strong experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), and PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of identity management, authentication, and security frameworks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem AD + Azure AD)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
  • Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data governance solutions
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, SMTP, etc.)
  • Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Azure AD (Entra ID).
  • Perform user provisioning, license management, and role-based access control.
  • Configure and maintain mail flow, security policies, retention policies, and compliance features.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and service availability.
  • Implement and manage security best practices including MFA, Conditional Access, and Defender for Office 365.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA if applicable).
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and incident response activities.
  • Plan and execute migrations (on-premises to cloud, tenant-to-tenant, or hybrid environments).
  • Deploy and manage Microsoft 365 applications and updates across the organization.
  • Support integration with third-party tools and services.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated user issues.
  • Maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and administrative tasks.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, cost efficiency, and user experience.
  • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap updates and recommend enhancements.
