About The Position

The Microsoft 365 engineer will be responsible for modernizing and managing all messaging and collaboration technologies at Campbell’s, with a focus on delivering a high-quality, secure user experience across Microsoft services—including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva Engage, and others within the Microsoft 365 tenant & Collaboration landscape. This position oversees the design, administration, security, and support of the Microsoft 365 environment, including tenant management, licensing, email security, and service integrations, with an emphasis on reliability, resiliency, and customer intuitiveness. The role includes managing collaboration operations both internally and through Managed Service Providers, implementing continual feature updates aligned with Microsoft’s roadmap, proactive health monitoring, and driving adherence to compliance and security policies. The engineer will provide Level 3 support, root cause analysis, training, and clear communication to IT, end users, and partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting the M365.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing and group-based licensing management.
  • Proficiency with Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Engage, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Entra, Azure, and Microsoft 365 applications including monthly updates and feature rollouts.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure and IT deployment project management, capacity planning, change management, and documentation.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation expertise.
  • Ability to leverage Microsoft Graph for automation and integration.
  • Experience with Azure app registrations and systems automation.
  • Proficiency with Postman for Graph and Web App troubleshooting.

  • Experience in Viva Engage management.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred (not required).
  • Hands-on experience supporting Azure platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, document, and support the Messaging and Collaboration environment, including Microsoft 365 tenant and licensing management.
  • Manage operations with Managed Service Providers, ensuring secure, compliant configurations aligned with business requirements.
  • Implement & manage email security measures such as anti-spam, anti-malware, encryption, DLP, & email archiving.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance using monitoring tools.
  • Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates, proactively identify IT trends, and engage with IT Security and Audit teams.
  • Provide Level 3 support for Messaging and Collaboration tools, including but not limited to: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, Alert Media and third-party integrations.
  • Investigate and resolve complex Microsoft 365 issues, and perform root cause analysis after critical outages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and Microsoft to solve complex problems and ensure seamless user experience.
  • Produce communications related to changes, feature enhancements, and operational status for IT, end users, and partners.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation for IT staff and end users.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for all collaboration tools to ensure seamless integration & user experience.
  • Act as liaison between Managed Services Providers and Digital Workplace Team (Alert Media, HCL, etc).
  • Build and maintain detailed documentation of architecture, processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Conduct reporting on Microsoft 365 health, security audits, licensing audits, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
