For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. Core Knowledge & Skills: Designs complex network and hybrid‑cloud solutions; implements security controls, DR/BCP, and automated IaC with deployment pipelines; performs advanced performance tuning. Work & Complexity: Solves complex issues, designs and delivers new infrastructure solutions, performs capacity planning, and leads advanced automation initiatives. Quality & Independence: Drives root‑cause analysis, enforces best practices and QA on changes, optimizes for reliability and user experience; operates with high autonomy. Teamwork & Communication: Leads cross‑functional efforts, mentors juniors, facilitates knowledge transfer, and aligns stakeholders with technical plans. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Microsoft 365 Engineer - Intune & Endpoint Management. Project Summary AIS is seeking a mid-level Microsoft 365 Engineer to support and enhance our modern endpoint management environment with a primary focus on Microsoft Intune, Windows workstation device management, and Windows Autopilot for a federal contract. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and operational support of cloud-managed endpoints across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–6 years of IT engineering experience, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Microsoft Intune administration.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Windows Autopilot in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 endpoint management concepts and best practices.
  • Experience managing Windows 10/11 devices in a cloud-managed or co-managed environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint integration with Intune.
  • Experience in co-management environments with Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
  • Familiarity with Group Policy migration to Intune / cloud-based management.
  • Experience supporting Conditional Access and device-based access controls.
  • Knowledge of Apple iOS/iPadOS and Android management in Intune is a plus.
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate Certification
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert Certification
  • Azure / Entra-related certifications

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune for Windows endpoint management.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows Autopilot profiles and provisioning workflows.
  • Manage device compliance policies, configuration profiles, update rings, feature updates, and security baselines.
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot software distribution through Intune, including Win32 app packaging and application assignments.
  • Support endpoint enrollment scenarios for Azure AD / Entra ID joined and hybrid-joined devices where applicable.
  • Maintain and optimize endpoint configuration standards for laptops, desktops, and other managed workstations.
  • Troubleshoot Autopilot pre-provisioning, enrollment status page (ESP), enrollment failures, policy conflicts, application deployment issues, and device compliance problems.
