About The Position

The Microsoft 365 Administrator is responsible for maintaining the assigned server, systems, and ancillary applications and providing technical administration support for the organization's web-based Active Directory, productivity, collaboration, document management, and email platform(s).

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited two-year college with an associate degree in information systems, computer science, or another related field.
  • 5+ years of information technology support service.
  • 5+ years of experience administering SharePoint and/or Exchange.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technology support role with exposure to cloud environments.
  • Experience administering or supporting infrastructure systems is preferred.
  • Experience in administering Office 365.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft network and PC operating systems, including advanced system administration and expert knowledge of one or more Office 365 applications, preferably SharePoint or Exchange.
  • Working knowledge of IIS, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL, and Windows Server.
  • Working knowledge and intermediate skills in Exchange mailbox management.
  • Extensive practical knowledge in troubleshooting, principles, and issue resolution techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently while supporting a team environment.
  • Solid analytical skills with strong attention to detail and concern for data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational, process, and project management skills with the ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and technical writing skills with an ability to effectively interact with and convey information to people who possess varying levels of understanding on applicable topics.
  • Solid understanding of cloud environments.
  • Experience with PowerShell and scripts to maintain M365 infrastructure.
  • Ability to provide basic troubleshooting over the phone.

  • Ability to work unsupervised in a conscientious manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a mobile work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain key components of Office 365 applications, including Exchange and Active Directory.
  • Monitor system maintenance and escalate issues to Microsoft.
  • Monitor application health and functionality; review system events and messages; analyze usage and storage trends.
  • Work with business stakeholders across multiple departments to leverage Office 365 capabilities to design solutions meeting business expectations.
  • Maintain proper security measures by managing governance policies and permission groups; audit and review content for data integrity and compliance.
  • Design, Plan, and Execute Office 365 migrations including Exchange Online, OneDrive, In-Tune, SharePoint Online, and MS Teams.
  • Stay current on Office 365 features and capabilities, including availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, backup, and security.
  • Participate in compliance and security reviews, including working closely with internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the Office 365/Exchange architecture.
  • Educate clients on collaboration tools, policies, and best practices.
  • Collaborate on Windows 10 image and patch management.
  • Participate in PC deployments.
  • Design and plan for Identity Management and Directory Sync supporting O365 workloads.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
