About The Position

The San Francisco City Attorney's Office is looking for an experienced, qualified, and motivated technology professional to join its Information Technology (IT) Team with a specialty on the Microsoft 365 platform. This is a Permanent Exempt (PEX) position, meaning individuals are appointed at the pleasure of their appointing officer and are considered to be 'at-will.' The position is limited to no more than 3 years in duration and is excluded from the competitive Civil Service examination process. The application opening is on June 6, 2025, with a continuous deadline, the earliest close being 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025. The compensation range is $109,668 - $137,956, with scheduled pay increases on 6/30/25 (1%) and 7/1/25 (1%).

Requirements

  • An associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year in the information systems field, including technical support, content management, administration of network applications or system analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years experience administering and supporting the M365 platform.
  • Two or more years of experience designing and implementing SharePoint sites.
  • Two or more years experience administering and supporting the Intune.
  • Two or more years experience administering and supporting Entra ID.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience with database technologies (MS SQL).
  • Ability to code in at least one of the following environments: Power Platform, PowerShell / Command Shell, Python, JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and graphic design tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Certifications such as MCSE/MCSA.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support for the M365 platform and services including SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Power Automate, Power Apps, Intune, Entra ID, and more.
  • Create modern, high impact SharePoint sites for the Office.
  • Serve as the primary administrator of Intune and Entra ID.
  • Administer and provide recommendations on the optimal usage of the M365 environment.
  • Develop, design, and promote modern SharePoint sites for the Office.
  • Develop and implement custom solutions using the M365 platform.
  • Provide training to end-users and administrators for M365 services.
  • Support and troubleshoot issues related to M365 applications.
  • Develop documentation and training material.
  • Research and advise on various aspects of the M365 platform including configuration and policy settings.
  • Stay informed about changes to and industry trends concerning the M365 environment.
