Summary: Perform a quality check and sort precision machined components using a microscope.

Requirements

  • Understand how to adjust eyepieces on Microscope to clearly see object with both eyes.
  • Understand Magnification adjustment on Microscope.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to perform same task for long periods of time without compromising quality.
  • Good vision and be able to pass a vision test.

Responsibilities

  • Use of a microscope to check and sort precision machined components.
  • Measures dimensions of parts.
  • Examines parts for defects such as cracks and blowholes.
  • Separates and marks defective castings according to salvage operation required.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Uses time efficiently.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
  • Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Meets productivity standards
