About The Position

Canteen is hiring immediately for a full-time MICROMARKET ROUTE DRIVER position located at 4801 Hannover Place, Fremont, CA 94538. The schedule is full-time, from Saturday through Wednesday, with hours that may vary starting at 3:00 am. The Route Driver will drive a company vehicle over an established route to deliver products or render services, maintaining micro market and related equipment. This position is crucial as the Route Driver is the face of the company, responsible for projecting a professional image and building excellent client and customer relationships. There are excellent advancement opportunities available, providing employees with a foundation for entry-level management roles.

Requirements

  • 3 years driving experience required.
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment.
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised 98% of the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years' experience in a customer service position or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
  • Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
  • Display a clear understanding of company policies and administer as needed.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and related equipment.
  • Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets and report defective equipment.
  • Ensure truck is properly loaded with all required products before starting the route.
  • Inform clients and customers of new products or services and resolve service complaints.
  • Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
  • Accountable for all receipts of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, and cash collected.
  • Conduct inventory reconciliation in accordance with District procedures.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre & post trip vehicle inspections.
  • Perform all job functions in a safe and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
