About The Position

As a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Technician at Target's Distribution Center, you will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient maintenance operations and ensuring high availability of the building's assets. This position involves organizing, planning, and scheduling maintenance work, managing vendor relationships, overseeing inventory management, and ensuring data integrity within the maintenance management system. You will collaborate with various teams to support the business and enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, plan, and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance work within Maximo for the Engineering and Facilities team members.
  • Create and assign work orders to team members at the direction of Engineering & Facilities Operations Managers.
  • Assist in the prioritization of critical work and building efficient work packages.
  • Work closely with vendor service providers to ensure quality of service and resolve problems.
  • Create Purchase Orders (POs) with vendors to procure necessary parts and supplies.
  • Validate and resolve issues with vendor invoices and process them through Target's financial payment systems.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs with external vendors and manage trailer maintenance processes.
  • Ensure the building has an accurately stocked storeroom of critical and spare parts.
  • Manage MRO spare parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, issuing, and inventory management responsibilities.
  • Assist in assuring data integrity in the maintenance management system (Maximo) by managing asset setup, parts, and job plans.
