About The Position

The Microelectronics Test Engineer will be part of a specialized team responsible for designing, evaluating, and testing complex Electro-Optic microelectronic assemblies. This role involves troubleshooting, developing integrated test stations, and improving processes to enhance product quality and efficiency. The engineer will work with a variety of test equipment to ensure compliance with performance requirements and contribute to Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 1-5 years of professional experience or less with a Master's degree.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming and languages.
  • Ability to operate test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Waveform Generators, or Multimeters.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with micro-electronic components (Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, RF, and Electro-Optic).
  • Experience with common electronic test equipment and schematic reading.
  • Ability to view solder, silver epoxy, wire bonds, and small die component features through a microscope.
  • Understanding of Network Analyzer, Power Meter, Function Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, and RF Switch Matrix.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, evaluate, and test complex Electro-Optic microelectronic assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and develop integrated test stations, products, and processes.
  • Evaluate Electro-Optic test data and characterize microelectronic components and devices.
  • Develop test documents, plans, and procedures; execute tests and coordinate resources for testing.
  • Support test development, integration, and anomaly resolution as required.
  • Participate in RCCA and Lean Six Sigma improvement efforts.
