About The Position

The Mission Systems Microelectronics Systems team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has new opportunities for individuals who want to grow their technical expertise on complex programs and fast-paced mission systems business area. In this role, you will support the complete system-v diagram from definition and decomposition to integration and test used in aerospace and defense. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, test, and manufacturing engineers to bring cutting-edge electronic systems from concept to production. This is an ideal position with a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field who are excited to grow their careers in the fast-paced world of microelectronics. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required ​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance ​

  • Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to write technical material and present to customers and mid-level managers
  • Be self-directed, able to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives with minimal oversight

Responsibilities

  • System development in all systems technical elements of an entire development project. (Capturing system requirements through Validation & Verification)
  • Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other engineers in the planning, design, and development of military technology
  • Work closely within cross-functional teams
  • Independently perform multiple tasks given support from a mentor
  • Implement requirements, detailed design, integration, and verification in accordance with system development processes.
  • Accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions
