About The Position
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services (DAS), IT Section is recruiting for a Microcomputer/Network Technician 2! This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit at a range 16. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. As a member of the DMVA DAS Information Technology team, your role will involve delivering comprehensive end user and desktop support, along with network services for both local and remote users. Reporting to the Microcomputer/Network Specialist, you will assist in the planning, installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of various IT systems, including servers, networks, microcomputers, printers, and telecommunications equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and support for all users. Your role will focus on supporting the State Emergency Operations Center as well as Alaska's military and veteran population, contributing to our customer-service oriented mission with a strong emphasis on reliability and proactive maintenance of our infrastructure.
