Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related field
Minimum 3 years of microbiology lab experience in a GMP setting
At least 3 years of leadership experience in technical or lab environments
Strong knowledge of EM protocols, microbiological testing, and compliance standards
Proven ability to coach and develop teams while managing operations
Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
Willingness to relocate to Rensselaer, NY - we'll help you get there!

Responsibilities

Lead environmental monitoring (EM) activities: cleanrooms, compressed gases, water systems
Oversee microbial identification and culture media acceptance testing
Maintain productivity databases and generate trend reports
Investigate microbiological deviations and author detailed reports
Ensure equipment calibration and GMP compliance
Supervise and mentor microbiology analysts and group leaders
Manage onboarding, training, and scheduling for second-shift staff
Apply Lean principles to optimize workflows and drive continuous improvement
