Job Summary Wednesday-Saturday 1300-2230 Medical Laboratory Scientist are responsible for testing patient specimens, ensuring accuracy of test, and communicating results to providers Reports to: Supervisor, Medical Laboratory

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Understands and can articulate correct procedures to accurately identify patients, label specimens, and verify there is adequate sampling for the testing ordered
• Proficient use of computer peripherals
• Clear communicator; Speak, read, and write English fluently

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens for testing
• Test patient specimens, establishing and ensuring acceptable levels of QC are maintained
• Responsible for ensuring requirements of the CAP, AABB, DNV, and FDA (as applicable to section/shift) are followed and in compliance
• Ensure equipment is operational by performing equipment maintenance, calibrating, and troubleshooting
• All other duties assigned related to the medical laboratory
