About The Position

Chamberlain University is seeking a Visiting Professor to join a dynamic team of educational professionals in teaching Nursing Students in an online setting. The role involves implementing and embracing Chamberlain College’s Care philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives by engaging students effectively. The professor will establish an environment conducive to student engagement by planning and preparing for classes, responding quickly to student requests for assistance, and ensuring that students enjoy a powerful learning experience. The position also includes identifying opportunities to enhance student engagement through collaboration with colleagues, promoting student success, and fostering a positive learning environment by keeping accurate records and enforcing academic and attendance policies.

Requirements

• Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in microbiology
• At least 15-credit hours of higher education teaching experience (preferred but not required)
• Exceptional subject matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Genuine passion for education and lifelong learning
• Strong work ethic and ability to learn from mistakes
• Ability to collaborate and communicate openly with colleagues and students
• Ability to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution
