About The Position

The Microbiology and Environmental Toxicology Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach undergraduate laboratory courses in the department. Teaching assistants may be assigned to assist instructors as needed, and will be supervised by the instructor. Outstanding candidates with experience teaching general microbiology or anatomy and related courses are encouraged to apply. The campus is especially interested in candidates who are committed to ensuring opportunity for students of all backgrounds and to fostering a community of inclusion and belonging through their teaching and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of university teaching experience.
