About The Position

The Microbiologist will support Production by performing applicable Microbiological tests required for the release of cleanrooms, components and products. Grow with us- Your Responsibilities & Tasks: Creation and/or modification of procedures used in the Microbiology Laboratory. Support in laboratory investigations (OOS, NCPR, CAPA). Support in trending historical data for multiple tests performed. Support in equipment and/or method validation. Verification of supply stock used for laboratory testing. Keep up to date with current standards used in the laboratory. Performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards and procedures. It includes the following: Bacterial Challenge Retention Test Bioburden Microbial Growth Bacterial Endotoxin test (BET) (L.A.L.) Sterility Test Microbiological Water Analysis (Total Count) Spore Population Determination Non-Viable Environmental Monitoring Viable Environmental Monitoring Sub-Visible Particle Testing Visible Particle Testing Cell Growth Promotion Test for sterile media Tissue Culture Prepares culture media and maintains culture stocks. Cleans glassware and equipment. Initiates and keeps test results and records. Assures compliance with GMP’s and GLP’s. Maintains close communication with manufacturing department key personnel to inform test outcomes as needed. Supports the Technical & Process Improvement Department Performs a wide variety of duties besides the ones already described, after proper training is given by authorized personnel of the Quality Assurance Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Microbiology, Microbiology or Biology.
  • 3 + years of experience in a similar position
  • Bilingual- Must be able to speak, white and understand English and Spanish.
  • Able to work with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Outlook, SAP and computerized test analysis.

  • Supports the Technical & Process Improvement Department
  • Performs a wide variety of duties besides the ones already described, after proper training is given by authorized personnel of the Quality Assurance Department.
