Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, or basic medical science with relevant coursework in microbiology and physical sciences.
• One year of specialized experience in managing Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT) or equivalent education such as a Master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Select Agent Program Manager ensuring compliance with regulations for Biological Select Agents and Toxins (BSAT).
• Assist Federal Select Agent Program-registered Principal Investigators with BSAT inventory and accountability matters.
• Record Select Agent Program and BSAT-related activities using data management systems.
• Draft, review, and submit documentation related to BSAT including reports, training, and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare and submit FSAP registration packets in consultation with Principal Investigators and subject matter experts.
• Prepare for and assist with inspections involving BSAT from regulatory agencies.
• Conduct audits of BSAT material inventories at various biosafety levels.
