About The Position

Requirements

• Possession of an Associates degree or higher in Life or Physical Science or related field.
• Six months experience in laboratory procedures for preparation, isolation, identification or characterization of viruses, parasites, bacteria or metabolic disorders.
• Six months experience in analyzing and evaluating scientific data.
• Six months experience in applying Universal Safety Precautions for laboratories.
• Six months experience in technical report writing.

Responsibilities

• Pasteurizing, concentrating, extracting, plating, and analyzing wastewater samples using Digital PCR to detect SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A and B, and other infectious diseases.
• Performing microbiological examinations on clinical specimens to identify and detect microorganisms.
• Conducting quality control procedures and maintaining accurate records of test procedures and results.
• Preparing reports of microbiological procedures performed.
• Participating in special response teams for epidemics or medical emergencies.
