About The Position

Our Laboratory, located in Spanish Fork, UT is seeking a Microbiologist I for Quality Control Laboratory specializing in nutraceutical products. The incumbent will perform microbiological sample preparation and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. He/she will be responsible for recording results in an appropriate format and reporting them in accordance with compendial specifications. Qualified candidates will have some college in microbiology or a B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, or related courses. Work experience is a plus, preferably obtained in a nutraceutical laboratory setting. Shift: M-F, 10am-6:30pm, Must be willing to work rotational Saturdays (once training is complete), and overtime as required. The qualified candidate must have excellent organizational skills. The successful candidate will be using laboratory instrumentation software at all work stations.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform work with Aseptic Technique.
• Computer skills with knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• Strong math skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Some college in microbiology or a B.S. in Microbiology, Biology, or related courses.

Nice To Haves

• Work experience is a plus, preferably obtained in a nutraceutical laboratory setting.
• Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment, including pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry, is a plus!!

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological sample preparation and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Recording results in an appropriate format
• Reporting results in accordance with compendial specifications.
• Perform technical procedures in a quality control laboratory, performing experiments with minimal supervision by applying standard operating procedures and analytical principles.
• Perform technical writing for SOP’s and other laboratory procedures
