About The Position

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Identify and validate molecular targets that play a key role in specific disease processes. Study the origin, relationship, development, structure, and function of living organisms, including bacteria and other microorganisms. Conduct research to determine the effects of nutrients, drugs, serums, hormones, and other substances on tissues and vital biological processes. Analyze materials to assess toxic or non-toxic properties, binding behavior, and efficacy. Isolate, purify, analyze, and identify hormones, minerals, proteins, and microbial cultures to determine biological properties. Examine chemical aspects of antibody formation and conduct research on cellular chemistry and cell division. Support identification and production of small quantities of new drugs, pharmaceutical compounds, and/or nutrients. Participate in microbiology and sterilization-related laboratory activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science required. (Microbiology preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience in Microbiology and/or Sterilization Validation (preferred)
  • Knowledge of microbiological testing and laboratory practices
  • Experience or exposure to sterilization validation processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts (1st and 2nd shift)
  • Willing to work 100% On-site in Villalba
