About The Position
This position primarily involves computer aided drafting of site maps, soil boring logs, soils boring location diagrams, and soil boring profiles. Other responsibilities may include generating design drawings for retaining walls, reinforced slopes, foundation systems, drainage systems, or other engineering drawings. Additional responsibilities include drafting engineering details and figures. The role also assists with plan assembly duties from the direction of engineering staff and coordinates with multiple design disciplines and various team members for design and coordination of major projects and deliverables. It is essential to ensure that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner and to adhere to established company or client stated MicroStation standards. The position requires transforming initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction/inspection drawings and improving communications through documentation. The candidate will work closely with project managers, project engineers, designers, and other draft technicians, and will perform other duties as assigned.
