About The Position

Performs all of the tasks in the operation of the micro mold production machines at Accumold. Uses the quality system and work instructions that have been established to complete the production of plastic parts correctly and independently.

Requirements

• High school education coursework or GED required.
• Experience or training in plastic part manufacturing.
• Understands measuring and inspection equipment used to monitor quality.
• Ability to understand mechanical concepts used in micro mold production.
• Ability to perform basic tasks using Windows operating system.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and utilize instructions and short correspondence with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to effectively present information to other employees, in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and understand specification drawings for inspection purposes.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of concrete variables.
• Ability to follow simple verbal instructions.
• Willingness to attend classes or training to enhance and update knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops a thorough understanding of the operation of micro mold machinery.
• Monitors assigned machines using established parameters.
• Checks assigned parts at regular intervals following work instructions.
• Inspects product continuously to maintain highest quality parts.
• Keeps feeder bowls adequately filled.
• Monitors dryer and oven trays to maintain sufficient material for production run.
• Builds upon working knowledge of machines, process and experience to troubleshoot problems.
• Measures parts and follows SPC procedures as required by work instructions and/or customer requirements.
• Promotes efficient production practices by performing ongoing tasks necessary to ready finished product.
• Communicates production problems with lead people or management as needed.
• Other duties as required.
