About The Position

The Micro Market Associate is responsible for the operation and maintenance of vending machines and micro markets, ensuring product availability and customer satisfaction. This role involves engaging with customers, managing inventory, and performing routine maintenance on machines. The associate will also operate a motor vehicle to transport products and perform duties across various locations.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license or a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
  • Must have knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely.
  • Must be able to pass appropriate background checks for the specific area of responsibility.
  • Must pass the GSA defensive driving course.
  • One year of progressive responsible clerical office or retail sales work, demonstrating customer interaction skills.
  • One year of progressively responsible experience in retail sales services, vending, or store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains Exchange owned machines and Micro markets daily.
  • Inspects and replenishes products, ensuring adherence to shelf-life dates for perishable items.
  • Greets and engages customers, providing sales assistance and product recommendations.
  • Ensures assigned areas are fully stocked and merchandise is neatly arranged.
  • Communicates with supervisor regarding stock management and customer preferences.
  • Sets up and maintains pricing and visual programs in micro markets and machines.
  • Cleans and maintains the micro market, including floors and countertops.
  • Assists with resetting merchandise annually to adhere to standards.
  • Operates electronic devices for inventory and ordering within the micro market.
  • Relocates and installs new machines, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Collects money from vending machines and prepares cash collection slips.
  • Responsible for inventory control in vending and micro market systems.
  • Counts and verifies cash receipts from Cash Handling Clerks and prepares daily cash reports.
  • Interacts with customers and coworkers in a professional manner.
  • Becomes knowledgeable about merchandise and communicates product information effectively.
  • Operates a motor vehicle for job duties, ensuring safe loading and unloading of merchandise.
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and coordinates preventive maintenance schedules.
