About The Position
The Micro Market Associate (Flex) position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around the operation and maintenance of micro markets and vending machines. This role is crucial in ensuring that these machines are fully stocked, functional, and clean, providing an excellent customer experience. The associate will be responsible for inspecting and replenishing products, which include a wide range of items such as sandwiches, pastries, sodas, and laundry detergent. It is essential to adhere to product shelf-life guidelines, ensuring that expired or spoiled items are removed promptly. The associate will also engage with customers, assisting them in selecting merchandise and suggesting complementary items to enhance their shopping experience. In addition to product management, the Micro Market Associate will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the micro market area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. They will set up and maintain pricing and visual merchandising standards, ensuring that all products are displayed attractively and accurately. The role requires effective communication with supervisors regarding stock levels, customer preferences, and any issues that arise, as well as participation in team meetings to discuss improvements in service and sales performance. The associate will also be responsible for operating a motor vehicle to transport products and collect money from vending machines and kiosks. This includes maintaining accurate records of cash collections and inventory control. The position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass background checks, as well as a commitment to safety and customer service. The work environment is dynamic, involving both indoor and outdoor tasks, and may require lifting moderately heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
