The Micro Lab Technician is responsible for assuming all micro work is done correctly and done in a timely manner. Reporting lab results, hold and release of raw material and finished product. Make sure finished product does not exit the facility until it passes all lab work. The micro lab tech will interact with team members of all departments, including Supervisors, Managers, Plant Manager, Marketing and USDA. The incumbent is responsible to make sound decisions on matters of quality and food safety. Microbiological analysis of food products and environmental swabs. Maintain clean laboratory and workspace. Verify proper function of lab equipment. Special projects and validation studies.
