About The Position

The position of MIC Tech or Sr MIC Tech involves operating, maintaining, testing, and calibrating measurement and control systems related to natural gas. The role requires responsiveness to emergencies, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the execution of scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks. The position may require working in various locations and is subject to shift work, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of natural gas measurement, construction, maintenance, and/or service field experience, or equivalent.
• Successful completion of specific Workday Learning courses prior to applying for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic level functions required to operate, maintain, test, and calibrate measurement, regulating, and instrumentation control facilities and systems.
• Ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and reports to comply with company and regulatory requirements.
• Execute scheduled equipment inspections, tests, calibrations, maintenance, and replacements as needed according to company and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with basic functions related to various types of meters and communication circuits and equipment.
• Perform basic duties related to inspecting, testing, calibrating, and maintaining natural gas quality analysis equipment.
• Coordinate and perform measurement tests with third-party companies to ensure measurement integrity and accuracy.
• Monitor natural gas quality to ensure contract compliance and initiate enforcement actions when needed.
• Investigate operational balancing systems and implement actions to improve results.
• Identify, address, and report safety and encroachment issues to resolution and completion.

• Hourly Pay Rate dependent upon location: Craig, CO Hourly Pay: $33.00 - $36.75; Steamboat Springs, CO Hourly Pay: $36.25 - $40.50 (plus additional $4.50 housing allowance)
