Leads, directs, and manages the State of Michigan's MiDEAL Extended Purchasing and Vendor Outreach programs. Establishes the strategic and marketing plans for these initiatives. Implements approved plans for accomplishing the strategic and marketing plans. Creates performance standards and assigns/supervises work for section employees. Works with outside organizations as well as internal Central Procurement Services (CPS)/SOM groups to assure effectiveness of plans and accomplishment of results. This position is responsible for providing direction and control of functions and activities in the work area including establishing priorities, allocating staff, employee evaluations, employee counseling, employee selection, provision of technical and policy guidance, and training of employees.
