About The Position

The position involves providing care and support to patients, ensuring their daily needs are met and monitoring their health status. The role requires active participation in shift reports and collaboration with nursing staff to clarify patient care instructions. The individual will be responsible for monitoring vital signs and assisting patients with their daily activities, including meal service and dietary monitoring.

Requirements

• BLS from American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Mental Health Technician or similar credential.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.

Responsibilities

• Participates in shift report by listening actively and clarifying patient care instructions with Charge Nurse.
• Monitors and records vital signs (TPR, height, weight, I&O and BP) accurately and within time frames.
• Attends to the Activities of Daily Living of patients by assisting and/or supervising.
• Serves Meals, monitoring and recording dietary habits.
• Intervenes as appropriate with dietary needs and records intake of form, as instructed.
