This position involves consulting with and advising the student's parent, guardian, or legal or actual custodian on various educational aspects, including lesson plans, textbook and supplementary materials, educational goals and objectives, teaching and learning techniques, forms of assessment and evaluation of student learning, student strengths and weaknesses, interpretation of test results, planning, and record keeping. The role also requires adherence to state and federal laws, board policies, and administrative rules, maintaining a service orientation, and treating all stakeholders with professional courtesy. The Supervising Teacher will contribute as a collaborative member of the MHSAP staff, demonstrate strong communication and organization skills, effectively manage multiple projects with attention to detail, attend professional learning opportunities, acquire necessary technology skills, prepare timely reports for the Director, and engage in continuous learning and professional growth through the evaluation process. Duties are to be performed with minimal direction and supervision in an effective, positive, efficient, confidential, and trustworthy manner.
