About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Professional (MHP) or Mental Health Professional Clinical Trainee to provide diagnostic assessments and evidence-based treatment services to adults experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This role involves delivering services in both individual and group settings while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to support client recovery, stability, and overall wellness.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Minnesota as an independent behavioral health professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist).
  • Working knowledge of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 245G, Chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act), and Sections 626.556, 626.557, and 626.5572.
  • Ability to pass a DHS Background Study.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic and functional assessments.
  • Provide clinical treatment services using Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment (IDDT) and other evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family therapy, and psychoeducation services.
  • Facilitate co-occurring disorder groups.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and level-of-care assessments.
  • Identify mental health and substance use concerns, including barriers to recovery and stability.
  • Collaborate as a valued member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide expertise, training, and ongoing support to clinical staff regarding engagement and treatment of individuals with chronic mental illness and co-occurring MI/CD.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Adhere to all applicable Minnesota statutes and licensing requirements.
