About The Position

This position supports implementation of the 2025 Education Innovation and Research Grant in the Academic Outcomes and Instruction Unit, through the design, delivery, analysis, and evaluation of Montana’s approved 2025 EIR Grant application. The position supports the roll out and implementation of the EIR Grant initiatives including the Montana High-Impact Tutoring (M-HiT) program, providing oversight of contracts for early-learning professional learning opportunities aligned to the science of reading, the evaluation contracts and providing resources and community outreach opportunities regarding the grant activities for districts and families. Overseeing the budget and ensuring the grant processes are in alignment with the grant awards is also an element of this work.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of federal grant requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in managing projects, time, and operations.
  • Knowledge and experience in problem-solving, risk management, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of K-12 education, and related policies and regulations.
  • Skill and ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Skill and proficiency in data analysis and utilizing data to inform decision-making.
  • Skill and proficiency in online tools such as Google Docs, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Skill and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be professional, flexible, and have diplomacy.
  • Ability to be initiative, accountable, and have teamwork.
  • Ability to prioritize work with the evolution of tasks
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues.
  • Ability to communicate and have interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand early literacy data and connections to learning
  • Bachelor's degree in project management, business, or related field.
  • 3 years grant management experience
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
