About The Position

The MHE Operator I position is responsible for pulling orders, prepping for outbound shipment, loading and unloading freight accurately, and performing other warehouse-related duties. The operator must ensure that all products are accurately pulled and over-packed according to customer expectations. This is an intermediate level position requiring good interpersonal skills and familiarity with OSHA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-4 years of experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as a forklift and a computer.
• Strong organizational, inventory, and accounting skills.
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift varying weights up to 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift and other material handling equipment (MHE) including sit down, reach truck, cherry picker, layer pick, etc.
• Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
• Accurately pull orders based on location, part number, batch and quantity.
• Placard, weigh, and record dimensions on appropriate paperwork.
• Sort outbound freight based on carrier lane assignments.
• Over-box pallets, wrap pallets and strap pallets in preparation for shipment.
• Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of dock.
• Keep shipping supplies organized and communicate on supply needs.
• Complete daily forklift inspection sheet prior to operation of forklift.
• Complete other duties or tasks as assigned.
