About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Avionics Mechanic willing to work on 1st 2nd and/or 3rd shift with periodic weekends supporting MH-139 program at Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB), Alabama . Position Responsibilities: Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes Provide on the job training (OJT) to USAF personnel will be required Oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results) Inspect components and verify repairs for flight worthiness requirements Work under general direction

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Military aircraft maintenance
  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AW-139 or MH-139 maintenance and/or modifications
  • Experience with rotorcraft maintenance
  • Currently hold or have held an Airframe & Power plant (A&P) license
  • General Mechanic experience desirable
